What is Fairy Hair?

Fairy Hair is like jewelry for your hair! It is a synthetic fiber that is heat and hair product resistant. You can treat the strands like you would any other hair. You can wash, brush, blow dry, straighten, curl, color and swim as normal. Fairy hair uses no chemicals or adhesives and will not damage your hair in any way.

How is the fairy hair attached?

We use a small tool to tie the fairy hair and one strand of your own hair in a knot. This knot is so small you should barely even feel it. The fairy hair hangs down as two strands per knot.

How long will my fairy hair last?

Each fairy hair is tied to one strand of your own hair and should stay until the individual hair sheds.  It is normal to have a few shed in the first week. Everyone’s shedding patterns vary but you should expect to be sparkly for 4-6 weeks for adults and up to 4 weeks for kids. Children do tend to shed a little faster. It is not uncommon for some of your fairy hair strands to last for months and months.

What should I do to prepare for my fairy hair appointment?

Having clean, dry, and product free hair is ideal for applying fairy hair. We need to be able to separate an individual hair so wet hair or hair spray will increase the time it takes to apply. We recommend vigorously brushing your hair before your appointment. This will help remove any hairs that are ready to shed and increase the likelihood of getting it tied to a strong hair.

Do I need an appointment?

For most events appointments are highly recommended. We are happy to accept walk-ins and will do our best to fit you in. There is no guarantee that we can take you and it is likely that you will have a waiting period as we have to give priority to our scheduled appointments. Please try to book appointments several days in advance as events are filling up fast!

How long will my appointment take?

It depends on how sparkly you want to be! Generally it will take between 10 and 20 minutes for a full fairy hair application.

How much does it cost?

We have several sparkle options from subtle to shimmering! Prices are per person, no splitting please.

• $15 for 10 for a few face framing sparkles

• $40 for 30 for a subtle sparkle

• $70 for 60 for strands in multiple layers of hair

• $100 for 100 for those of you who need to be extra sparkly!
